Glam It Up with Home Theater Decors

Glam It Up with Home Theater Decors

You’ve got the basics covered for your home theater – TV, projector, player, and sound components – but somehow, there’s still something lacking and preventing your home theater from giving you a wonderful cinematic journey. If that’s your problem, maybe you need to glam it up with some home theater decor!

Sound Proof Concrete Walls – You don’t really need to tear down your walls and build new concrete ones. You can use faux concrete panels or wallpaper to make it sound proof, there are several DIY ways to achieve this. It’s important to make your home theater look exactly as it’s meant to be from wall to wall.

Gold Framed Posters – Relive the glory of the golden days of cinemas by decorating the walls with gold framed posters of your favorite movies from old to new. Place James Dean’s Rebel without a Cause right next to Frodo in Lord of the Rings and then put the hunky Spartans in 300 across home-seeking Dorothy of Wizard of Oz.

Movie Seats – What else could give you a better movie experience than perfectly authentic movie seats? Home theater loungers are usually made from genuine leather of different colors. They can also come with headrests, armrests, leg rests, and sometimes, they even double as rocking seats! Choose one that will fit your size perfectly!

Carpeting – Thanks to the entry of carpet panels on the market, carpeting a room need not be an expensive option. And carpets are very important in creating a home theater atmosphere because they prevent distracting sounds – footsteps, falling glasses, and so forth – from ruining your mood.

Popcorn Machines – You can’t watch a movie without popcorn! A single dispenser will usually do, and you can buy different flavors of powder to change the taste of your popcorn. But there are times when nothing but butter flavored popcorn will do! If you love this idea, consider buying other concession machines like a soda dispenser or hotdog maker.

Racks and Stands – Scattered DVD tapes and equipment lying around everywhere will destroy the illusion of watching in a real movie theater. Keep things in perspective by using AV racks and stands to keep everything from view.

Roped Posts – Remember those ropes that prevent you from getting out of line at the theater or reaching your favorite star during premiers? You can purchase them as well and add to your home theater. Pretend you’re the star this time watching your own premier!

There are many other home theater accessories you can include. It’s all up to how far your cinematic imagination can go!
